Free coins, every day, worth nothing
The coin balance exists so the games have stakes to play for. That is the whole job. It cannot be topped up with money, cashed out, or turned into anything at all — and it can never run out permanently.

Where coins come from
Your balance starts at 10,000 the first time you open a game. Once every calendar day the top-up button adds another 5,000, and it unlocks again after midnight in your own time zone. The reset button puts the balance back to 10,000 at any moment, as often as you want.
Between them, those three sources mean the same thing: nobody is ever stuck at zero, and nobody ever has a reason to want more coins than they have. A balance that can be refilled for free by pressing a button is not a resource worth protecting — which is precisely why it is safe to gamble it on a 60-to-1 total.
Where they live
In your browser's local storage, on your device, under the key mpr.coins. There is no account and no server copy. Open the site in a different browser and you start again at 10,000; clear your browsing data and the same thing happens.

This list is complete. There is no other mechanism in the site that adds or removes coins.

Why the reset button is not hidden
Plenty of free games make the empty balance uncomfortable, because discomfort is what a shop is for. There is no shop here, so there is no reason to make running out feel like anything at all. The reset sits next to the counter on every game screen.
What these coins are not
Being blunt about this matters more than being brief, so: the coins used across Maple Play Room have no monetary value and no value of any other kind outside these four games.
- They cannot be purchased. There is no payment system on this site.
- They cannot be won as a prize, and no prize of real-world value is offered anywhere here.
- They cannot be exchanged, redeemed, transferred, gifted or withdrawn.
