A games room with the maths left visible
Maple Play Room is a free social casino. Four games, virtual coins, and no money anywhere in the building — which is exactly what makes it possible to show you how the games really work.
Casino-style games are good games. Sic bo has a layout you can read in a minute and think about for years; Jacks or Better is a genuine decision puzzle dressed as a slot machine. What usually gets in the way is the money, and the way the money encourages everyone involved to be vague about the numbers.
Take the money out and the vagueness has no purpose. So every game here prints the chance of the bet you are about to make, the payout attached to it, and where the difference between those two goes. In one case — Vault Circuit — there is no difference at all, because there is no reason to build in an edge when nothing is at stake.
The site is small on purpose. Four games, each properly built and properly explained, is more useful than forty tiles that all behave the same way underneath.
What this site will never do
These are not aspirations. They are structural: there is no payment code in this site, no outbound gambling links to remove, and no account system that could be extended into one.
If you ever find something here that contradicts the list beside this text, it is a mistake and we want to hear about it. The corrections page explains how to report one.
Six firm limits
- No real-money gamblingNot now, not as a later feature. This is entertainment software, not a gambling operator.
- Nothing for saleNo coin packs, no premium tier, no donations, no payment processor of any kind.
- No prizesCoins cannot be redeemed, exchanged, transferred or withdrawn, because they are not worth anything.
- No links to gambling sitesNo affiliate links, no referrals, no comparisons, no sponsored placements anywhere on the site.
- No urgency mechanicsNo countdowns, no streak timers, no notifications built to pull you back.
- Nothing aimed at childrenThe games are for adults. Nothing in the art, the writing or the themes aims at anyone under the legal age.
How it is built
Plain HTML, one stylesheet and one small JavaScript file. No accounts, no server, no tracking. Your coin balance and your best results live in your own browser's local storage and never leave your device.
Every shuffle, roll and stopping point comes from crypto.getRandomValues(), the random number generator built into the browser. The probability figures quoted across the site were checked by enumerating every possible outcome rather than by simulation — all 2,598,960 five-card hands, all 216 combinations of three dice.
Who writes this
The guides, rules panels and explanations are written and maintained by the Maple Play Room editorial desk. There is no invented review board here and no staff biographies to pad the page out. The editorial policy sets out how the material is produced and re-checked.
